This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and leading people, materials, equipment and processes in order to achieve established safety, quality, delivery, and profit goals while maintaining positive employee relations. They will apply lean manufacturing tools and techniques to continuously improve safety, cost, quality, and efficiency in their areas.
Job Responsibility:
Accountable for leading team of people, setting direction and deploying resources to meet or exceed daily production schedules with focus on safety, quality and timely delivery
Be a champion of safety through consistent use of all required personal protective equipment (PPE). Consistently identify and respectfully address lack of safety compliance with team of direct reports
Monitor assembly production workflows to established standard operating procedures
Quality and continuous improvement focused through listening to team and strong follow-up/follow-through skills
Promotes positive employee relations through daily, open, direct, but respectful communications
Timely completion of daily start of shift safety report outs, end of shift reports outs
Demonstrate troubleshooting and problem-solving skills vital to remain adaptable and solutions focused in a dynamic manufacturing production environment
Ensures conformance with company policies, practices and work rules related to attendance, performance, etc.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree, or an Associates degree plus three (3) years experience in Supervising/Manufacturing, or High School diploma and five (5) years experience in Supervising/Manufacturing
Metal cutting experience using CO2 and Fiber laser technology
Basic knowledge of nesting software and material utilization
Metal forming experience with press brakes, punches, roll forming machines, etc. including setup, tooling, & CNC control systems
Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings
Ability to use measuring tools including gauges, protractors, rulers, etc.
Understanding of tolerances and GD&T basics
