As a Production Test Technician at Lam, you’ll excel in setting up, calibrating, and troubleshooting circuits, components, and mechanical assemblies of advanced semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment (WFE). You’ll develop test specifications and procedures, ensuring precision to design specification and customer needs. You’ll play a crucial role in testing and troubleshooting circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies, providing valuable insight through technical reports. Job Responsibility:
Use hand tools, test equipment, and fixtures to install components and test WFE across multiple product types
Access and update Configuration Editor settings by utilizing sales order/Bill of Materials (BOM) in SAP
Measure resistance, continuity, voltage using test equipment
Set up specialized equipment, perform leak checks by using appropriate equipment and procedures, and verify check completion
Identify and document Non-Conformance Items (NCIs) and coordinate improvements, escalate as needed
Understand, report, and review tool status and access tool information through use of SAP commands
Support a safe work environment by following safe work practices, adhering to safety guidelines, utilizing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and following Lockout Tagout (LOTO) policies and procedures
Provide timely clear communication to appropriate stakeholders including production status, tasks completed, detailed descriptions, continuous improvement ideas, and shift pass downs
Requirements:
2-4 years of experience in the semiconductor capital equipment industry, or equivalent manufacturing environment
Completed training in technical fields (Associates degree, technical degree, technical certificate, diploma, or equivalent military experience) with focus on electronics, mechatronic, electric, engineering, or related field
Able to work 12-hour shifts in fast paced and time-sensitive environment
Effective communication skills, written and verbal, in English
Proficiency in computer-based data systems, applications, and Microsoft Office software
Frequently position oneself (e.g., bend, stoop, reach, walk, sit, twist, squat, kneel, climb, stand) to perform job tasks including moving parts and equipment weighing up to 35 pounds
operating various hand tools, equipment, and fixtures
Distinguish various wires by color, size, thickness, markings, etc.
