Production Technologist

• Testing and Troubleshooting: Conducting the testing and inspection of electronic assemblies and components. You will troubleshoot, repair, and perform failure analysis on electronics, electrical components, cables, wiring harnesses, mechanical products, and software products
• Quality Assurance: Performing quality checks on ongoing builds and completing thorough quality inspections against existing standards
• Process Improvement: Initiating action to prevent product nonconformity and optimizing processes to increase efficiencies
• Documentation: Documenting all production and test activities and assisting in maintaining assembly, test, and configuration management records
• Rework and Correction: Troubleshooting and reworking in-process failed products and taking corrective actions. You will control further processing of nonconforming product until the issue is corrected

• Diploma or degree in Electronics Technology or Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution
• Solid understanding of all aspects of electronic circuit board testing (including component handling, soldering, and cleaning in a static-controlled environment)
• Strong competence and abilities to troubleshoot and repair complex circuits
• Solid understanding of electronic hardware assembly, including cable assembly, mechanical support hardware, and enclosure assembly
• WHMIS Certification
• Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work with minimum supervision
• A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an electronics design and production environment
• Experience in a production test and repair position
• Experience in high-reliability soldering
