Job Responsibility

Support film extrusion equipment operation and set-up
Troubleshooting
Providing recommendations and implementing solutions to resolve equipment and/or process problems in a timely manner
Application of sound principles to drive improvements in tooling, production, processing, and equipment in a continuous and timely manner
Ensure machines are functional and safe to operate
Report safety problems immediately and operate equipment safely
Write and revise SOPs
Support or own work orders, deviations, and audit observations for equipment activities
Maintain quality on parts being produced and report any quality problems
Perform 5S activities

Job Responsibility

Set up and closely monitor injection moulding machines, making sure every component meets the required quality standards
Take responsibility for starting up extrusion lines and keeping processes on track in line with SOPs
Continually optimise moulding and extrusion processes, always working within agreed procedures
Conduct injection mould tool changes safely and efficiently to support smooth production
Keep machinery and tools in good working order through minor reactive maintenance, including oil levels and cleanliness
Carry out initial QA/QC checks using gauges and equipment, interpret the results, and take corrective action when needed
Maintain a strong safety culture by consistently following Health & Safety guidelines
Complete and submit accurate production and performance documentation in line with SOP requirements
Support a clean, organised and efficient workplace by upholding 5S standards and high levels of housekeeping

CRC (Career Readiness Certification) Silver level
Possess or be able to obtain Worksaver Operator Certification

Job Responsibility

Acquire and transport extruder blend using a PIT (Powered Industrial Truck)
Supply, operate, clean and maintain the Tubing Cutter and Extruder ensuring the correct blend is used and the manufacturing specifications are attained
Roll produced tubing onto reels and place and secure on mobile rack for storage
Transport enclosed mobile rack to staging area
Calibrate, adjust and operate various product monitoring machines as necessary
Clean and maintain vacuum filters, breaker plates, extruder pin, screen plates and related equipment
Perform routine and preventative maintenance such as adjustments, replacement of machine parts, cleaning and lubrication while supporting Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
Perform scheduled quality checks (using various types of machinery and hand held measurement devices), disposition product, identify any deviations that may occur and take the appropriate action to include stopping production on the machine if necessary
Navigate the computerized Production Operating Management System (POMS) to access, manage and document batch information throughout the production process
Notify the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, mechanical or discrepancy issues occur
