Job Responsibility

  • Build an effective manufacturing team including recruiting, training, developing and conducting performance reviews
  • Ensure that there is an effective succession planning and development planning for the team
  • Ensure that the team plans and organizes production capacity to meet customer programmed requirements
  • Work together with the business division customer teams to support effective introduction of new product lines and optimization of existing serial production
  • Monitor and control key performance indicators
  • safety, cost, process, quality, delivery, housekeeping, absence
  • Respond to and find solutions to production issues
  • Contribute to and support introduction of new products, facilities, machinery and process
  • Support and participate in continuous improvement activities
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures including health, safety and environmental
  • Ensure manufacturing area adheres to all Brose processes and procedures
  • Full responsibility for BMW and Volvo manufacturing areas

Requirements

  • Post secondary education in an engineering program and/or equivalent experience in a managerial role
  • At least three (3) years in a quality or production engineering role, plus one (1) year in a managerial role preferred
  • Automotive manufacturing experience preferred
  • Skills: Project management and implementation of new products SAP Knowledge of modern manufacturing techniques gained within the automotive industry Comprehensive knowledge of production planning and control Evidence of leadership and team building skills Good communication / inter-personal skills Strong Leadership Skills
