Job Description

Syntech Recruitment are hiring for a hands-on Team Leader or Senior Operator ready to step up, offering a mix of leadership and practical involvement in a well-structured manufacturing environment. You’ll have real influence over team performance, production output, and continuous improvement, without stepping too far away from the shop floor.

Job Responsibility

  • Leading a team of operators to deliver against production, quality, and delivery targets
  • Organising daily workloads and ensuring on-time delivery (OTD)
  • Monitoring and improving KPIs including quality, scrap, and efficiency
  • Supporting and developing team members, including training and performance management
  • Working closely with planning and production teams to hit schedules
  • Remaining hands-on where needed — setting and running machinery
  • Driving continuous improvement across processes and team performance
  • Maintaining strong health & safety standards across the area

Requirements

  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Previous team leadership, supervision or senior operator experience
  • Strong understanding of KPIs, production targets, and quality standards
  • Confident organising workloads and leading from the front
  • Comfortable working both hands-on and managing a team
