Job Description

Employees in the role of Production Support are responsible for assisting Shift Supervisors and Operators as needed to meet the goals of the Production Department.

Job Responsibility

  • Sort finished product according to USPS regulations – sort, tie, tray
  • Tag trays for mail processing to support Operators
  • Stock machines with trays, sleeves, stamps, and other needed supplies 2-3 times per shift
  • Assist with hand fulfillment of jobs and other work that is non-machinable
  • QC, package and ship packages
  • Assist with production floor organization and clean up
  • Recycle expired job jacket contents
  • Compile and organize operator waste for postage reimbursement
  • Rewind stamps for machine insert to support Operators
  • Properly stage product and trays to support Operators
  • Compile job jackets and organize on production wall to support the Prepress department
  • Follow company quality control standards and procedures to ensure accurate completion
  • Quality Control checks – Detect & report defective materials or copy – 2 times per shift, 10 checks minimum
  • Adhere to company uniform standards
  • Work with other co-workers in a positive, teamwork environment
  • Keep work station clean during operating hours and help perform station closing duties at shift end
