Job Description:

HSBC is one of the largest banking and financial services organizations in the world, with operations in 64 countries and territories. The role involves supporting production systems, collaborating with various stakeholders, resolving incidents, and developing program fixes, all following HSBC Change Management standards.

Job Responsibility:

  • Communicate with relevant stake holder regarding resolving issues related to delivery of projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including ITID, Vendor, Business user and other relevant stakeholder to resolve production queries or incidents with work around and long term solution
  • Provide Application incident on-call support during off business hours, and provide Weekend/Public Holiday Application Support per project delivery and Business needs
  • Present, develop and apply program fix on Application defects according to HSBC Change Management standard
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders in order to achieve the best desired outcome
  • Understanding the functional and non-functional requirements through regular interactions with the Business Analysts, SMEs
  • Provides accurate estimates and status to management, raising issues appropriately
  • Ensure that development is done with the highest quality measured by defect counts and defect ratios

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 8 years' IT software development/Application Support experiences with strong experience in Unix, Oracle, AWS, Monitoring tools
  • Production Support and ready to work in shifts
  • A track record of delivering change on architecting, implementing, and supporting enterprise-grade technical solutions, preferably in a financial institution
  • Good understanding of both RDBMS & NoSQL databases technologies such as DB2, Postgres, or equivalent
  • Knowledge on Unix, Shell scripting, Python
  • Experience in Scheduling tools like Control-M
  • Experience in DevOps tool
  • Strong experience in DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, Nexus or equivalent
  • Real passion for elegance and efficiency in software engineering and always strive for continuous improvements via automated processes
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills and fluent in English
