Job Responsibility:

  • Start of day checks, continuous monitoring, and regional handover
  • Partners with appropriate development and production support areas to prioritize bug fixes and support tooling requirements
  • Participate in application releases, from development, testing and deployment into production
  • Day to day monitoring and observability of the applications and work to enhance them proactively or at the back of any issues
  • Should work on engineering aspect of the role to reduce the Toil in the systems, enhance observability and reporting
  • Communicating with operations, traders to trouble shoot the issues with applications and communicate effectively
  • Drive major incidents meeting, impact analysis and communications and problem management to understand the root cause

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in an application support role, preferably in any FX suite of applications including trading, settlements
  • Hands on experience with cloud servers like ECS, AWS
  • MS SQL /Oracle Database and Windows and UNIX OS
  • Should understand how monitoring works preferably ITRS geneos and understanding of MQ or other mechanisms
  • Experience on developing automation with shell scripting/ python would be add-on
  • Well aware of ITIL principles like Incident Management, Change management, Problem management
  • Effective written and verbal communications including ability to explain technical issues in simple terms that non-IT staff can understand
  • Good analytical skills
  • Effectively share information with other support team members and with other technology teams
