We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Production Supervisor (2nd Shift) to join our team. As a Production Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our processes. We are looking for someone with exceptional management skills, a strong focus on safety, and a passion for driving operational excellence through continuous improvement methodologies like Kaizen.
Job Responsibility:
Responsible for the daily operation of the Production departments, to include but not limited to planning, prioritizing, and allocating work to department employees, ensuring the production schedules are met while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and adherence to Company policies and procedures
Champion adherence to all safety procedures and standards, ensuring the well-being of employees and compliance with industry regulations
Continuously promote a safety-first culture, encouraging employees to report and address safety concerns proactively
Monitoring employees’ performance and production, and help to identify training needs and work with the appropriate department(s) to provide necessary training
Conduct regular performance evaluations, identifying areas for improvement and providing coaching and support for employee development
Work closely with the Operations and Continuous Improvement Managers to assure that each department is achieving production and quality expectations
Embrace and promote lean manufacturing principles, including 5S, standardized work, changeover (SMED), OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), Kanban, and one-piece flow
Utilize data analytics to make informed decisions and optimize production processes
Understand Company policies and have the ability to communicate such policies, procedures, rules, etc. to employees and assure compliance of such policies and procedures
Work with the Operations Manager and the Human Resources Manager to resolve disciplinary problems
Requirements:
3 years applicable supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
Proven experience in a leadership position within a manufacturing environment, demonstrating strong planning, follow-up, and project execution skills
In-depth knowledge of safety procedures and industry regulations, with a record of accomplishment of promoting and maintaining a safety-first culture
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and hands-on experience in implementing Kaizen methodologies, 5S, and other continuous improvement techniques
Willingness to learn and apply various tools such as 5 Whys', Process Mapping, Standardized Work, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and Spaghetti diagrams
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 to analyze and leverage data for process optimization
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a diverse team
