Job Description:

This full-time Production Supervisor on the Afternoon Shift position in Mississauga offers a competitive salary of $80,000 – $88,000. Managing 30 to 40 team members, you will drive operational excellence within a premier manufacturing environment. Job Responsibility:

  • Direct the daily afternoon manufacturing operations as the Production Supervisor – Afternoon Shift to hit safety and output targets
  • Utilize 5S methodologies and Lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste and optimize facility workflows
  • Monitor departmental KPIs regarding attendance and safety to guide team coaching and performance tracking
  • Facilitate seamless handovers between morning and midnight leadership to maintain consistent production cycles
  • Lead root-cause analysis investigations using fishbone diagrams and 5 Whys to resolve any attainment shortfalls
  • Oversee a diverse team of 30 to 40 personnel, ensuring fair treatment while maintaining professional management boundaries

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of leadership experience within a manufacturing environment as a supervisor or team lead
  • Demonstrated expertise in Lean manufacturing, 5S implementation, and visual management systems
  • Previous background in assembly or the automotive industry is highly preferred to support a continuous improvement culture
  • Proven ability to reduce scrap and improve attainment through data-driven problem-solving and process knowledge
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop a large technical workforce
