As the Production Supervisor, you play a vital role in ensuring employee safety, maintaining product quality, and optimizing asset performance, all while adhering to the production schedule. This position demands exceptional leadership skills, including active participation in the hiring process, onboarding new employees, managing performance, and implementing corrective actions. Your problem-solving abilities extend beyond daily operations, as you champion continuous improvement initiatives throughout the entire plant.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure the timely implementation of the people development plan and verify the competencies of your team
Provide proper training, including equipment operation, safety procedures, and hygiene practices
Enforce compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Maintain a safe work environment at all times
Ensure updated work instructions are available
Ensure the achievement of quality objectives
Actively participate in preventing and correcting quality-related errors
Monitor and enforce personnel hygiene and safety practices
Continuously coach employees
Review daily target achievements and report any deviations
Develop and implement action plans
Facilitate smooth handoffs and effectively communicate key information
Ensure continuous line controls and take immediate corrective action
Maintain effective employee and industrial relations management
Ensure the distribution of skills is adequate
Ensure timely product launches
Coordinate with quality, engineering, and administration to ensure proper maintenance of facilities
Review daily maintenance effectiveness
Prioritize, schedule, and ensure timely completion of maintenance and repairs
Requirements:
BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of 3 years of relevant manufacturing or production work experience (including experience gained during military service) preferred in lieu of a degree
1-3 years of prior production supervisory experience
Ability to maintain a safe working environment through effective housekeeping and safety practices
Excellent communication skills, including oral, written, and listening abilities
Basic understanding of warehousing concepts
Strong aptitude for building personal relationships based on trust, mutual respect, and open communication
Adaptability
Proven ability to tailor communication styles to different audiences
Strong interpersonal skills
Skilled in helping individuals identify development needs
