We’re looking for a hands-on, safety-focused Production Supervisor to join our team at the Severn Quarry. In this role, you’ll supervise the daily operations of our aggregate processing plant—ensuring high-quality output, team performance, and compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. You’ll take initiative, prioritize daily tasks, and work closely with colleagues at all levels to keep operations running smoothly. This is a full-time position with a typical schedule of Monday to Friday (morning and/or afternoon shifts) and occasional Saturday shifts as needed. Job Responsibility:
Manage daily and weekly production schedules to align with sales demands
Oversee equipment inspections and ensure machinery operates at peak performance
Submit and manage employee timesheets via our TMS system
resolve discrepancies with payroll
Prepare and analyze production reports, addressing any variances
Supervise subcontractors and consultants during facility upgrades or construction
Identify improvement opportunities through collaboration and ongoing training
Assist with procurement of plant parts and consumables to support maintenance needs
Support budget preparation and cost control, escalating discrepancies to the Operations Manager
Champion safety and environmental best practices across the site
Lead, coach, and support a team of production staff, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and professional growth
Requirements:
High school diploma plus a 3-year college diploma (CET, Operations Management, or Business)
Valid G-Class Ontario driver’s license in good standing
5–7 years in aggregate, quarry, or related operations, including supervisory responsibilities
Proven ability to lead teams and provide constructive feedback
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Solid knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations
Familiarity with site plans and KPI reporting
Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations and WHMIS
Nice to have:
Experience with drilling and blasting (an asset)
