Job Responsibility:
Leadership and administration of plant operations
Overseeing staffing, production scheduling, monitoring of raw ingredient inventory, quality of goods produced in the facility and timely manufacturing of finished product
Building and maintaining relationships with production employees and maintenance staff
Supervising the Feed Assure™ and quality assurance programs, planned and preventative maintenance programs, and all Health & Safety initiatives within the facility
Train production staff on Health and Safety, Feed Safety, and regulations
ensure compliance with Feed Assure
Assist with hiring, training, and scheduling for efficient production staffing
Schedule runs, monitor performance, and track deviations per QA/QC policies
Work with management on team-oriented approaches to customer service and quality
communicate regularly with the Plant Manager
Monitor raw ingredient inventory and coordinate production forecasting with Dispatch and Customer Service
Prioritize repairs with maintenance teams
implement the corporate Quality Assurance program
Act as management representative on Health & Safety Committee, schedule meetings, inspections, and training
Requirements:
Post-secondary education in relevant field or equivalent employment experience
Availability for on call evenings and weekends depending on business needs
Experience in Agriculture or Food Production would be considered an asset
