Job Responsibility:
Be a Role Model: Act as an ambassador for KDC/ONE's values, company policies, and best practices in safety, quality, and collaboration
Coach for Success: Actively coach team members to help them meet company objectives and promote contribution from every individual
Develop Talent: Evaluate employee performance, identify training needs, and implement development plans to ensure continuous skill progression and effective task execution
Foster Engagement: Promote an environment of team spirit, mutual respect, and collaboration across shifts and departments
Talent Management: Participate in the recruitment and effective onboarding of new employees, including initial training and probation period follow-up
Drive Results: Accountable for your production section’s results, focusing on meeting or exceeding standards for speed, labor efficiency, and defined quality levels
Daily Planning: Plan and coordinate daily activities based on the production schedule, operational priorities, and resource availability
Problem Resolution: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) like speed, direct labor, yields, and waste
analyze variances and implement timely corrective actions to optimize production
Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate closely with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and Logistics to minimize line stoppages, product waste, and ensure operational fluidity
Uphold Standards: Ensure strict daily adherence to all established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), quality standards, safety rules, and plant policies
Health & Safety Champion: Deploy preventive actions to eliminate recurring incidents, conduct safety incident investigations, and implement necessary corrective measures
Audit Readiness: Prepare the team for internal and external audits, ensuring seamless participation and compliance
Promote CI Culture: Actively participate in, advocate for, and support the implementation of improvement projects that enhance efficiency, quality, and profitability on the production floor
Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for optimization within the production sector and implement necessary process adjustments based on performance indicators.
Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
Experience in the Food, Cosmetics, or Pharmaceutical sectors is considered a strong asset (GMP experience is a plus)
DEC (Diplôme d'études collégiales), BAC (Bachelor's degree) in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical Engineering, or a combination of equivalent education and experience
Essential bilingualism (written and spoken) in French and English
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint)
Prior experience with an ERP system (SAP or AS400 is an asset) is highly desirable
Proven ability to coach, inspire, and manage team performance and conflict resolution
Capable of quickly learning, analyzing complex issues, and making sound, timely decisions
Excellent adaptability and stress management skills in a fast-paced environment
A strong focus on achieving key production targets while maintaining an uncompromising standard of quality
Possesses an excellent team spirit and a willingness to partner cross-functionally.
