Job Description

This is a temporary position with a duration of 18 months. General Motors de Mexico is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Supervisor for a temporal role, responsible for overseeing and optimizing processes within our manufacturing facility.

Job Responsibility

  • Supervise and lead a team of production operators, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and production schedules
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency
  • Ensure the proper maintenance and operation of equipment, coordinating with maintenance teams as needed
  • Train and mentor production personnel on best practices for machining processes, including equipment operation, quality control, and safety procedures
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineering, quality, and logistics teams to optimize production flow and achieve manufacturing objectives
  • Implement and enforce lean manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement in operations
  • Prepare and present production reports to management, highlighting performance, challenges, and proposed solutions

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment, specifically with extensive knowledge of processes
  • Strong understanding of various techniques, tools, and equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve production targets
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications
  • Familiarity with quality control systems and methodologies relevant to assembly process
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively interacting with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • Shift flexibility: Availability to work on rotating shifts (4x3 schedule)
