Supervise production employees and assign work meeting safety, quality, delivery and cost goals. Recommend and execute improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions through listening, engaging employees and problem solving. Act as the company conduit for employee communications to keep employees abreast of news and information.
Job Responsibility:

Own the four (4) main metrics (safety, quality, delivery, productivity/people)
Oversee a line or area within a department including responsibility for front line employees and Leads
Responsible for the safety of team and safety compliance
Conducts root cause analysis in partnership with Quality on defects
Conducts and leads Continuous Improvement efforts
Drive accountability to policies and procedures
Manages performance issues
Resolves conflict within team and across teams
Creates action plans from Employee Opinion Survey results
Manage timekeeping & absenteeism
Understand and manage the production schedule
Work with leaders in upstream and downstream processes to achieve metrics
Ensure development of team as part of succession and talent planning
Manages cost, expense, and inventory control of material and supplies
Requirements:
Associate degree required
Minimum of 3 -5 years of prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment required
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong employee relations management experience
Ability to coach, direct and develop employees
Mechanical aptitude and ability to work closely with operators
Nice to have:
Knowledge in UKG/Kronos
Lean Six Sigma Experience
