Job Description:

Widnes Galvanizing, part of the Joseph Ash group are looking for a Production Supervisor for our rotating day shifts.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead, develop and motivate direct reports to deliver or exceed objectives and KPIs
  • Ensure compliance of company, legal and Health and Safety procedures and act on issues as necessary
  • Be willing to get stuck in when needed and show a hands-on approach to the supervisory role
  • Lead and supervise daily production operations, ensuring the plant meets output, quality, and safety targets
  • Coordinate workflow across kettle, pre‑treatment, fettling and dispatch areas
  • Monitor product quality, including coating thickness, drainage, surface finish, and adherence to BS EN ISO 1461 requirements
  • Train, coach, and support production operatives, promoting high standards of performance and behaviour
  • Communicate with management and other departments to resolve issues quickly
  • Oversee equipment use, including cranes, forklifts, and process tanks—reporting faults and arranging repairs when required
  • Drive continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve safety
  • Manage shift handovers, ensuring clear communication of ongoing issues and next‑step actions
  • Promote good housekeeping and 5S standards across all areas of the plant
