Job Description

Under the direction of the Operations Manager, this individual will coach front-line leadership and engage hourly technicians in plant-wide initiatives, including Continuous Improvement Projects and High-Performance Organization (HPO) initiatives. Additionally, this role is responsible for ensuring safety, product quality, line efficiency, budgetary goals, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and organizational capability/employee morale. The individual will lead in a High-Performance Organization to execute strategies aligned with the department across all three shifts.

Job Responsibility

  • Ensure clear direction and priorities for the business unit
  • Develop and maintain teamwork plan and budget
  • Manage direct and indirect labor efficiently
  • Develop Team Leaders, Service Leaders and all other leadership
  • Provide training, coaching and facilitation
  • Manage the Safety system within their area
  • Lead the development of key daily management systems
  • Communicate business unit results and needs to senior management
  • Provide organizational leadership
  • Track and gap results vs. work plan and budget for all KPI's
  • Involved in all activities including daily management, budgeting, strategic planning
  • Interface with multiple functions within the plant
  • Leading and coordinating activities with the team to achieve KPIs
  • Participating in and/or leading elements in strategic planning
  • Managing the business unit across all three shifts

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3+ years manufacturing experience
  • Bachelor's degree
