Job Description:

The Production Supervisor position is a supervisory leadership role supported by on-the-job training, development, and opportunity for career progression. Production Supervisors are: Resilient; Detail oriented; Ambitious; Demonstrate high integrity

Job Responsibility:

  • Supervise, evaluate, and empower an hourly team that produces manufactured products, and organize workflow to meet quality and daily productivity requirements
  • Ensure safety, quality, and productivity objectives are met through coaching standardized work, verifying lines are running safely, smoothly, and producing quality parts
  • Drive to exceed personal, team, Company goals by holding self & team to high performance standards through servant leadership
  • Build strong interpersonal relationships with hourly team members, union, and management teams

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of supervisory and / or manufacturing experience
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to work rotating shifts and hours, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism in difficult and stressful situations
  • Two-way communicator who actively listens to hourly team members, leaders, business partners and customers
  • Highly committed to continuous improvement, while applying innovative solutions with a customer first mindset
  • Create a culture of safety and apply and implement workplace policies
  • Administer the CBA (collective bargaining agreement) consistently and effectively
  • Values different opinions & is open to ideas & perspectives from others

  • Implement visual management systems (kanban, Andon, production boards) to improve shop floor communication and accountability
  • Lead root cause analysis and structured problem-solving (8D, A3, FMEA) to drive permanent solutions to production challenges
  • Partner with welding departments to advance robotic welding automation, weld sequence optimization, and fixture/tooling design
  • Support automation and technology integration (PLC-controlled systems, robotics, smart manufacturing, IoT-enabled equipment)
  • Apply statistical process control (SPC) and advanced data analytics to monitor quality and process performance
