A premier manufacturing organization in Mississauga has an immediate opening for a Production Supervisor - Afternoon Shift to lead their team toward operational excellence. Offering a competitive salary of $85,000 - $88,000 plus a 5% performance bonus, this full-time role provides comprehensive 100% health coverage and a generous RRSP matching program. You will drive culture and efficiency within a high-volume manufacturing environment while enjoying 3 weeks of vacation.

Job Responsibility:

  • Direct the daily activities of 30-40 personnel on the floor, ensuring all production targets and quality standards are met
  • Uphold a positive workplace culture by applying progressive discipline and coaching techniques to resolve conflicts and maintain a culture of inclusivity
  • Oversee frequent line changeovers and setups for CNC, Screw Machines, Davenports, and Wickman's to maintain high output
  • Utilize the Epicore ERP system to manage shift reporting, staff evaluations, and key performance indicator tracking
  • Maintain a safe and compliant manufacturing environment by enforcing Standard Operating Procedures and health and safety protocols
  • Collaborate with HR and senior leadership to facilitate hiring, performance reviews, and departmental communication

Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a leadership capacity within a manufacturing setting
  • Experience working with Industrial Metals
  • Proven expertise in managing employee relations, including delivering feedback and managing performance plans
  • Proficiency in navigating computerized business systems, specifically with an ERP like Epicore or similar platforms
  • Technical aptitude to troubleshoot machinery and understand processes involving industrial metals like brass, copper, or aluminum
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks under high-pressure deadlines
  • Ability to work the permanent afternoon schedule in Mississauga, following an initial two-week orientation on the day shift
