Job Description

Our client, a leading player in the food manufacturing sector, is seeking an experienced Shift Manager to join their high-performing production team in the Cork region. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence across safety, quality, efficiency, and team performance.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and motivate shift teams to meet production KPIs and quality standards
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and hygiene protocols
  • Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, logistics, technical, and maintenance
  • Manage labour efficiency and control operational costs
  • Support and deputise for the Production Manager when required
  • Maintain accurate HR and operational records
  • Drive initiatives to improve product quality and system/process efficiency

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' supervisory/management experience in food manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of production systems (SAP/MES/SCADA experience highly desirable)
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Proven ability to lead diverse teams in a fast-paced environment
  • A third-level qualification in a relevant field is desirable
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong numerical/reporting skills

Nice to have
