This Production Scheduler role is integral to ensuring the efficient planning and execution of manufacturing schedules across multiple product lines. The ideal Production Scheduler candidate will coordinate resources, monitor progress, and proactively address challenges to meet customer expectations and deadlines.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and maintain production schedules that align with customer orders and delivery deadlines
Analyze resource availability, lead times, and production capacity to create effective manufacturing plans
Monitor inventory levels, raw material availability, and tooling to support accurate scheduling
Identify and address potential risks to production timelines while implementing proactive solutions
Track progress of manufacturing orders and communicate updates to relevant departments
Generate reports on production status, delivery performance, and areas for process improvement
Collaborate with manufacturing and customer service teams to optimize scheduling practices and meet delivery goals
Participate in production meetings, safety initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts
Maintain and update Bills of Materials in the system, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and confidentiality requirements
Requirements:
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across various departments
Proficiency in production scheduling systems
experience with Oracle, JD Edwards, or similar platforms preferred
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis
Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality standards and compliance processes
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, supply chain, or equivalent experience
Minimum of three years of experience in production scheduling across diverse manufacturing lines
