Job Description:

P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently seeking a Production Process Engineer to work on a full-time permanent basis in Great Yarmouth.

Job Responsibility:

  • Identify and manage projects related to production engineering equipment that will enhance operational performance
  • Conduct studies to understand and optimize process efficiency, cycle times, bottlenecks, and equipment maintenance, with the goal of improving OEE
  • Proactively contribute to component and product improvement initiatives that drive operational efficiency and quality
  • Support engineering change controls, non-conformance investigations, CAPAs, and documentation updates
  • Assist the Production Engineering Team in resolving issues affecting equipment efficiency
  • Support the Production Engineering Team in enhancing overall effectiveness through refined processes, documentation, tooling, housekeeping, and training
  • Support the project handover process for capital projects to ensure a smooth transition to the engineering team
  • Prepare robust financial justifications for proposed improvements and changes
  • Undertake equipment modifications where necessary and carry out testing to verify that desired outcomes have been achieved

Requirements:

  • Minimum level 4 qualification in a technical or engineering discipline
  • Proven track record of successfully leading machine design or machine improvement projects, preferably within a production environment
  • Background in FMCG or pharmaceutical manufacturing with exposure to packaging and production equipment is advantageous
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office suite with strong IT skills
  • Self-starter with a proactive, can-do attitude and meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively train colleagues
  • Strong commitment to working safely and maintaining controlled, methodical work practices
