Schedule production for products and components ensuring domestic and international customer orders are fulfilled in a timely manner. Primary responsibilities include production scheduling to maximize the utilization of production resources, managing reallocations of orders, oversight of inventory, and developing and maintaining appropriate reports to track and monitor production and inventory status.
Job Responsibility:
Schedule adequate amount of resources to meet production requirements to fulfill all domestic and international product orders and ensure timely delivery to customers.
Review documents, such as production schedules, work orders, or staffing tables, to determine personnel or materials requirements or material priorities.
Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with Centralized Planning Specialists and Operations team.
Maintain manual forecast to generate supply base requirements for accessory items.
Arrange for delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies or parts to expedite flow of materials and meet production schedules.
Ensure parts are coded and routed to meet implementation dates of new products.
Compile information, such as production rates and progress, materials inventories, materials used, on-time delivery misses, short shipments, or reallocations, so that status reports can be completed.
Analyze and track on time delivery misses, short shipments, and reallocations. Lead countermeasure activities.
Develop and maintain a close partnership with Materials, Sourcing, Engineering, Distribution, Production, Customer Service and Centralized Planning Specialists.
Requirements:
Associates Degree in a technical subject area or equivalent experience as a planner in a Manufacturing environment
One to Two years’ production control experience (2-3 years’ experience scheduling, procurement, customer service, or shop floor execution.)
In depth understanding of MRP and DRP processes
Requires proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft applications, JDE, Agile and Rapid Response.
General understanding of standard planning/manufacturing rules, procedures and processes.
Strong communication skills both written and oral a must.
