Job Description

As an inclusive, forward-thinking business, we take pride in our approach to investing in our planning across Avara Foods and are looking for a highly competent and motivated Planning Coordinator to join our Team, based at our Telford site. The role is office based, so you’ll be working in a fast-paced, dynamic FMCG factory environment which is noisy and refrigerated in some areas, manufacturing short shelf life products where hygiene standards are critical.

Job Responsibility

  • Ensure production plans are prepared, updated and communicated in a timely manner
  • Provide support on planning raw material movement between the Avara sites
  • Assist production schedulers in answering calls and completing administrative tasks
  • Deputise for Production Planner
  • Provide holiday cover for different roles within the planning department, which may involve working shifts, weekends, and supporting other sites
  • Frequently review stocks of finished goods and compare against upcoming orders
  • Short-term material management and utilisation including WIP management

Requirements

  • Effective communication skills
  • Understanding of business requirements and ability to be flexible around the site operations
  • A logical thinker with good numerical and analytical skills
  • Ability to solve problems proactively
  • Ability to maintain and update excel spreadsheets
  • Good IT standards and basic knowledge of MS package
