The Production Planner is responsible for creating and managing detailed schedules for future maintenance inputs, ensuring optimal resource allocation, and proactively identifying potential issues to maintain operational efficiency. This role involves forecasting, planning, and ensuring that resources, equipment, and personnel are available to meet project and operational requirements.
Job Responsibility:
Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, resources, and milestones
Define project goals and objectives and update plans regularly to reflect any changes and ensuring these are communicated accordingly
Prepare risk management plans to identify potential challenges and mitigate risks proactively
Monitor and resolve scheduling conflicts
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to align plans with operational need
Identify all required resources (personnel, equipment, materials)
Prepare performance and operational reports as required
Requirements:
Experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Planner or in a different role within a Part 145 Aircraft Maintenance environment
Strong knowledge of the aviation industry, including regulations
Relevant qualifications (optional)
Excellent organisational skills
Proficient with IT systems that support planning, scheduling and/or project management
Problem solving mentality with the ability to think outside the box whilst maintaining adherence to regulatory procedures
Strong communicator with the ability to build rapport at all levels of the organisation and with external customers and stakeholders
Eligibility to hold a UK Security Clearance
