Job Description:

Utilize the company’s MRP, accounting, and scheduling systems to forecast, monitor and control production schedules, WIP levels for products and processes assigned by the Department Manager. Perform all production control and inventory control functions, including material planning, product flow scheduling, inventory cycle-counting and reconciliation. Work closely with Production, Purchasing and Quality functions to assure successful achievement of perform-to-schedule goals.

Job Responsibility:

Develop forecast, schedule, review, monitor, report and take corrective systems action in support of specific product and inventory goals
Work closely with Purchasing, Engineering, Quality and Production departments to assure communication of timely and accurate scheduling information
Work closely with Quality and Engineering personnel to communicate and verify all systems and product requirements for ISO-9002 compliance
Develop a thorough understanding of the Company’s MRP, scheduling and planning
Create detailed production schedules based on outputs from MRP and coordination of the plant production team
Review, develop and submit to the Department Manager for approval all significant product and/or material stocking, WIP or macro-production schedules
Provide technical and administrative support to the Department Manager
Coordinate daily with the plant’s production team to review schedule adherence and performance

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
5+ years hands-on personal experience as a planner, production scheduler, master scheduler, inventory control coordinator, MRP/inventory analyst, or similar position
Must be computer literate at a professional level, MS Office, MRP and planning/scheduling software systems
Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with daily involvement on the production floor

Nice to have:

Advanced degrees in a related subject and/or professional certification (APICS, NAPM, etc.)
Experience in an ISO-9002 and/or MIL-Q-9858 environment
Training and experience in Lawson/M3
Training and technical knowledge in various MRP, APS and master scheduling programs and theories
