Production Planner

• Develops operations production plans to balance the supply forecast with cost, efficiency, and capacity constraints
• Develops and communicates daily master production schedule based on business needs
• Identifies and recommends opportunities to reduce costs
• Continuous development of inventory strategies to determine cost-effective use of inventory investment while maximizing inventory turns and meeting service level targets
• Identify and communicate any gaps/exceptions to supply plan, including proposed remediation options & recommendations
• Coordinate product supply remediation activities and perform root cause analytics on service & inventory defects for assigned categories
• Serve as Production planning subject matter expert on a variety of cross-functional project teams
• Collaborate and execute supply chain continuous improvement projects
• Partner with Supply Planners and Maintenance team to ensure key KPIs are met
• Expedites operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions
• Track and report KPI’s for production planning function to broader team
• Process and schedule downtime requests from cross-functional departments including Engineering and R&D
• Collaborate with Materials Planning to ensure raw material supply plan meet production needs

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations, engineering, or related discipline
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain or food production industry
• 3+ years of experience production and/or material planning
• Experience with ERP software, Atlas/John Galt preferred
• Proficient to expert user of Microsoft Excel
• Working knowledge of supply chain and/or manufacturing principles and environments
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Demonstrated enthusiasm, initiative, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and willingness to adapt to changing circumstances

Experience with ERP software, Atlas/John Galt preferred
