A fast-growing company in the medical device industry is seeking a Production Planner & Buyer for its modernized facility in Pointe-Claire. This autonomous role combines production scheduling (60%) and operational purchasing (40%) within a warm, collaborative team culture that offers both a small-business feel and the financial backing of a large corporate group.
Job Responsibility
Establish the production scheduling calendar over a 3-month horizon and issue daily work orders
Order and track raw materials, packaging components, and bulk solutions to prevent any inventory stockouts
Ensure the accuracy of regular physical counts and optimize inventory parameters within the system
Act as the central pivot between production (capacity management) and the Quality department (lot release prioritization)
Participate in configuring and optimizing the newly implemented ERP system
Requirements
3 to 5 years of combined experience in manufacturing production planning and industrial purchasing
Excellent proficiency in Excel (V-Lookups, pivot tables) and experience using an integrated ERP system (such as SAGE or SAP)
Bachelor's degree required
Nice to have
APICS certification or experience in a regulated sector like medical, pharma, or food
