Job Description:

The Sweets Department are keen to promote excellent team work by employing people who have a positive attitude, who are prepared to learn a number of skills so that they are able to work in various positions within the department. By achieving this, the department is in the best position to produce quality products, in a safe environment in an efficient manner. We aim to not only achieve our targets but improve on them as well. We aim to make around 300,000 units a week of sellable stock and in excess of 500,000 units of work in progress stock, you will be part of a team that is driven to hit targets and also have the product right first time.

Job Responsibility:

  • Putting in – Placing a product in a tray at the desired run rate
  • Feeding – Preparing trays of sponge or biscuit ready for the operator ‘putting in’
  • Changeovers – be able to assist on changeovers and keen to learn all aspects of a changeover
  • Changeovers – help to ensure they are efficient and done to high standards
  • To be able to handweigh at the desired speed
  • To prepare racks ready to be used and unload and transfer when required
  • Ensure areas are kept tidy and organized

Requirements:

  • Willing to obtain Food safety LV 2
  • Willing to learn new tasks
  • Ability to work in a safe manner
