Are you a technical Production Operator looking for a high-paying, long-term career with a global industry leader? Randstad is currently hiring for a premier manufacturing client in Brantford. We are seeking a skilled Production Operator who specializes in plastic processing and extrusion to join a high-tech, fast-paced production environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Systems Operation: Lead the setup, operation, and shutdown of twin-screw compounding extruders, compaction, and pulverizing equipment
  • Quality Control: Perform lab testing on raw and finished materials
  • immediately segregate any product that doesn't meet our gold standard
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve process issues to maintain a seamless flow in the production chain
  • Logistics & Support: Safely operate a forklift to move materials and assist with packaging lines and mixing equipment
  • Innovation: Collaborate with engineering teams on process development and automation for new products

Requirements

  • 2–3 years in a process-driven manufacturing environment (Plastics/Extrusion experience is a major asset)
  • Proven ability to set up and start sophisticated industrial machinery
  • Valid Forklift certification or significant professional experience
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to stack 55 lb bags (up to 80/hour) and work in hot/dusty environments
  • Must be clean-shaven for respirator fit testing and committed to a safety first culture
  • Ready to excel in a 24/7/365 operation on 12-hour rotating continental shifts
