Job Description:

The Dispensary department are keen to promote excellent team work by employing people who have a positive (can do) attitude, who are prepared to learn a number of skills so that they are able to work in various positions within the department. By achieving this, the department is in the best position to produce quality products, in an efficient manner. We aim to not only achieve our targets but improve on them as well. Please note that this is an 1400-2200 shift pattern, working 40 hours per week. £13.68 per hour (from 1 May 2026, it will be £14.09 per hour) + Bonus + Benefits. apetito is the UK’s leading food supplier to the health and social care sectors serving more than 1,300 care homes, health care and education settings. This role is not eligible for sponsorship under the skilled worker route as it does not meet the minimum requirements set out under the UK Immigration Rules.

Job Responsibility:

  • To be a key member of the production team producing bags of mixes for use in the factory and assisting in other areas
  • To be able to weigh mixes at the required speed using Marco scales to weigh
  • Filling bins up with product and attaching batch codes to bins
  • Correct stock rotation
  • Clean down between different products
  • Follow correct personal hygiene procedures
  • Operate to a clean as you go policy
  • Carry out efficient and effective clean downs when changing over products
  • Undertake Basic Food Hygiene training: a pass level must be obtained
  • Observe the allergen procedures
  • Help the business be environmentally friendly by ensuring that waste is segregated appropriately and by keeping waste to a minimum.
