Production Operative

• Operate and monitor plant machinery for cleaning, sorting, grading, and handling processes
• Optimise machine settings to achieve required quality standards and production targets
• Monitor product quality, ensuring removal of impurities and substandard materials
• Conduct routine quality checks on both incoming and finished products
• Minimise product loss and reduce rejection levels through effective process control
• Perform basic troubleshooting and coordinate with maintenance teams for technical issues
• Maintain accurate production, quality, and traceability records
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, and EU food safety regulations
• Follow all health & safety procedures and company policies at all times
• Work collaboratively with production and quality teams to ensure smooth operations

• Technical qualification (Diploma or vocational training in Mechanical, Electrical, or Food Processing)
• 2–5 years’ experience in food processing environments
• Experience with cleaning, grading, and optical colour sorting equipment (e.g. Sortex) is highly desirable
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to operate automated machinery
• High attention to detail with a strong focus on product quality
• Problem-solving ability for basic equipment and process issues
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to work shifts in a production environment
• Basic English communication skills required (Dutch is an advantage)
