Job Description

The Production Mixer is a full-time position that requires an individual with attention to detail and consistent performance. The successful candidate will assist the Production Manager with the daily operation of the Mixing Department, as well as helping to ensure the quality and efficiency of the Production Line is maintained.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist the Production Manager at the dough mix station
  • Follow all OKFD procedures for quality control and production efficiency
  • Thorough understanding and following of OKFD Food Safety Program
  • Thorough understanding and following of OKFD Plant Safety Program
  • Record ingredient lot codes and follow FIFO lot code rotation
  • Keep production area clean and organized
  • Accurately scale trace ingredients
  • Accurately scale and systematically add ingredients to the mixing bowl
  • Monitor dough through the mixing cycle
  • Plan dough mixing time to keep up to production line requirements
  • Complete in-house training of line worker duties
  • Other duties as required

Requirements

  • Basic computer, reading, writing, and mathematical skills
  • Food Safe is an asset, however in-house Food Safe training will be provided
  • Ability to multi-task while being a contributing member of the team
  • Shift work, including weekend shifts, with flexibility to adjust as coverage is needed
  • A good communicator and team player
  • Physically capable and energetic
  • Ability to lift bags and containers up to 25kg multiple times throughout the shift

  • Packing - Gift boxes to finished Bath Bombs, from 1 item to 1 pallet, all areas of packing will be experienced in each department
  • Shaping - Hand crafting, by shaping a multitude of some simple and intricate designs with care and precision
  • Filling - Pots and bottles of different sizes from Snow Fairy, Dream cream and Mask of Mag to name but a few
  • Labelling - Each item needing labels can be machine or hand placed onto packaged items (bottles/pots)
  • Wrapping & Ribboning - With a keen eye and nimble fingers, wrapping, tagging and ribboning is the finishing touch to those gifts produced throughout the day. (Some may be machine wrapped) all of them will be individually bowed and tagged by you
