As Production Manager, you lead the Production operations teams and ensure consistent application of processes across the department. Your focus is to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality malt production (First Time Right) in line with the agreed production plan. You continuously optimise performance while ensuring full compliance with HACCP, GMP and quality standards, and you actively promote a strong SHE culture on site.
Job Responsibility
Oversee and optimise all production stages to ensure efficiency, safety and quality
Monitor and report on key KPIs (safety, quality, delivery, cost, energy and waste) and translate insights into clear improvement actions
Own the production plan: set priorities, track progress, adjust schedules and resolve issues to ensure OTIF delivery
Identify and implement continuous improvements across processes, quality and performance
Ensure compliant and efficient production, from raw material selection to final product (lean, zero waste mindset)
Lead root cause analysis of deviations and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions
Drive Operational Excellence by using data (OPI), KPI development and CI methodologies in daily operations
Build strong customer relationships to align production with technical specifications and service expectations
Ensure full compliance with SHE, food safety and environmental standards, in line with CSR and sustainability ambitions
Develop deep process knowledge to continuously improve malt quality and unlock raw material potential
Lead and coach your team through regular 1-2-1s, clear feedback and development plans
Develop and mentor team members to achieve both business and personal goals
Foster a collaborative culture with strong communication around values, priorities and expectations
Support investigations and take the lead in disciplinary processes when needed
Requirements
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering, Bio-chemical Engineering, Agronomy or related field
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role within a food/production environment
Solid understanding of production processes in the food industry
Strong mindset for continuous improvement and challenging the status quo
Fluent Dutch (spoken and written)
Confident with MS Office (especially Excel)
Flexible for on-call duty (evenings/weekends when required)
