Job Description

Client is seeking an experienced, hands-on Production Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations and lead a team of approximately 30 employees. The role is responsible for driving production efficiency, maintaining quality standards, developing employees, and ensuring on-time delivery while fostering a safe and productive manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and supervise approximately 30 production employees to achieve daily production goals
  • Oversee manufacturing operations to ensure products meet quality, safety, and delivery standards
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel to track production metrics, analyze data, and prepare operational reports
  • Maintain detailed production records, meeting notes, action items, and archived documentation
  • Partner with experienced production staff to document manufacturing processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to verify product compliance and improve consistency
  • Resolve shipping and labeling issues to ensure accurate product identification and timely customer deliveries
  • Evaluate employee strengths and assign personnel to maximize productivity and operational efficiency
  • Identify employee training needs and coordinate skill development and cross-training initiatives
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve workflow
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, quality, and workplace safety

Requirements

  • 5+ years of production management or manufacturing leadership experience
  • Experience supervising manufacturing teams of 20+ employees preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent organizational, documentation, and follow-up abilities
  • Experience developing manufacturing procedures and quality control processes
  • Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Continuous improvement mindset with excellent problem-solving skills

Nice to have

  • Experience in precision manufacturing, industrial manufacturing, machining, engineering, or metal finishing environments
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
