Job Description:
Plan, organise, and control daily production activities to meet quality and delivery timelines. Oversee manufacturing of classical and proprietary Ayurvedic formulations such as tablets, capsules, syrups, oils, churnas, and topical products. Ensure efficient utilisation of manpower and production lines to maximise throughput. Monitor yields, in-process parameters, and production metrics; drive improvements where required. Manage batch planning, scheduling, and coordination with stores for raw and packing materials. Ensure full compliance with GMP, AYUSH/AYuSH guidelines, and regulatory requirements under the Drugs & Cosmetics Act. Maintain robust documentation, including Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs) and SOPs. Implement in-process quality controls and coordinate with QA for timely batch release. Lead CAPA activities for deviations, OOS, and audit observations. Support internal, customer, and regulatory inspections as needed. Lead and supervise production supervisors, operators, and technicians. Conduct regular training on GMP, hygiene, safety, and process adherence. Build a culture of discipline, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Manage performance reviews and skill development plans for the production team. Ensure compliance with plant safety protocols and environmental norms. Maintain strict control over raw material consumption, yield variances, and wastage. Coordinate with procurement and stores to maintain uninterrupted material availability. Control production costs while ensuring consistent product quality. Participate in capacity planning, scale-up activities, and production readiness for new products. Identify bottlenecks and suggest improvements in processes, workflows, and documentation. Work with R&D for pilot batches, technology transfers, and refinement of traditional formulations. Prepare daily/weekly production reports, variance analysis, and updates for senior management.
