We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis (39 hours per week) at our site in Pembridge, Herefordshire. This key role will be responsible for the planning, coordination and control of our manufacturing processes, ensuring Lean Manufacturing principles are embedded at all times whilst delivering the right balance of cost efficiency, quality and performance across production operations.
Job Responsibility:
End-to-end production management, ensuring safe, compliant, cost‑effective and high‑quality manufacturing operations
Leads production planning and scheduling, owns and reviews KPIs, embeds Lean and Six Sigma principles, and ensures delivery to quality and cost targets
Oversees resource planning, quality control, ISO and compliance performance, and corrective actions, while working cross‑functionally with suppliers, managers and technical teams
Supervising, developing and motivating teams, identifying training needs, and promoting continuous improvement, health & safety, and compliance awareness across the business
Ensuring the effective application of quality requirements across all production activities, with a thorough understanding of product critical characteristics, specifications and standards
Supports third‑party quality requirements, manages product approvals, and troubleshoots process or machinery issues impacting quality
Promotes a strong customer‑focused culture, drives continuous improvement in production methods and equipment, and proactively manages risks and opportunities to ensure product conformity and enhance customer satisfaction
Requirements:
Previous experience of working within a similar role is essential
Minimum Green Belt Six Sigma
preferably Black Belt
IOSH Certificate
Educated to degree level or equivalent
Experience of working in a high volume Batch and Cell production environment
A highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with the energy and drive to move things forward to exceed targets
Ability to adopt a flexible and direct approach to your workload
You must have excellent communication skills
IT literate
An excellent team player with an outgoing and adaptable personality
A full UK driving license is essential for this role, as is the adaptability to travel and work away from home as and when needed
