The Production Manager provides hands-on leadership for all operations within TeamWorld’s Container Decorating facility, overseeing bottle production through digital, screen, and assembly processes. This role ensures performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Efficiency (SQDE) while modeling the ATHREAD values of Accountability, Team Player, Honesty and Integrity, Responsiveness, Emotional Intelligence, Attention to Detail, and Drive. The Production Manager leads daily operations, develops people, drives process improvements, and ensures the department meets or exceeds plant goals through proactive leadership and data-driven decision making.
Job Responsibility:
Lead all bottle production operations across multiple work centers, ensuring goals for SQDE are achieved daily
Coordinate with Scheduling, Logistics, and Quality to meet customer delivery requirements
Assign labor and manage resource planning in collaboration with the Assistant Production Manager and Line Leads
Monitor key metrics including schedule attainment, scrap/spoil rates, downtime, and efficiency
develop corrective actions as needed
Conduct production meetings and daily Gemba walks to identify improvement opportunities
Drive adherence to SOPs, standard work, and safety procedures across all production areas
Partner with Quality to address production issues through root cause analysis and 4R documentation
Mentor and develop leadership within the department through coaching, feedback, and performance reviews
Oversee training programs to ensure employee competence and compliance with job expectations
Collaborate with Maintenance and Engineering to ensure equipment uptime and production readiness
Participate in long-term planning for capacity, labor, and process improvements to meet business growth
Support onboarding new hires and cross-training initiatives to build departmental flexibility
Contribute to strategic improvement projects and capital equipment implementations
Collaborate with other departments to strengthen communication and teamwork across the plant
Analyze production trends, recommend workflow enhancements, and implement Lean/5S practices
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor’s degree in business, management, operations or a related field strongly preferred
Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
Demonstrated success in supervising teams and achieving production goals
Experience using ERP systems (Odoo preferred) and production reporting tools
Strong leadership abilities to coach and develop others
High level of accountability, organization, and attention to detail
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with emotional intelligence and professionalism
Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret performance metrics and identify trends
Adaptable to change with a proactive, continuous-improvement approach
Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with Lean, 5S, and root cause problem-solving methodologies preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
Willingness to work additional hours as needed to meet production goals
