Job Responsibility

  • Interpret AutoCAD and traditional drawings to create structured production schedules that keep projects on track
  • Break down projects into manageable components, sequencing tasks and assigning timeframes for optimal efficiency
  • Work closely with design, commercial, and site teams to ensure accurate production and lead times
  • Collaborate with the Workshop Foreman to assign daily tasks and manage workforce planning effectively
  • Monitor team capacity and output, identifying training needs to foster staff development
  • Ensure workshop output aligns with required quality standards and specifications, delivering excellence every time
  • Liaise with clients, Project Managers, and the design team to clarify technical details and address programme changes
  • Lead internal production meetings to track project progress and celebrate milestones
  • Maintain workshop Health & Safety procedures, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards
  • Oversee safe working practises, tool/machinery use, and documentation for a secure working environment
  • Forecast and coordinate material and stock requirements to keep production seamless
  • Nurture relationships with key suppliers of specialist plaster materials and moulding components
  • Track workshop metrics including productivity, wastage, and quality issues, championing continuous improvement
  • Recommend and implement workflow enhancements and equipment upgrades to keep us at the forefront of the industry
  • Assist in estimating via proven production records, ensuring we stay on budget and on time

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a production, manufacturing, or workshop management role
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, with the ability to interpret and work from technical drawings
  • Strong organisational, planning, and leadership skills that inspire your team
  • A clear and confident communication style, with a collaborative approach to working across departments
  • Sound working knowledge of Health & Safety within a workshop environment
  • An engineering qualification (mechanical, production, or manufacturing) is desirable but not essential
