We’re building a world of health around every individual — shaping a more connected, convenient and compassionate health experience. At CVS Health®, you’ll be surrounded by passionate colleagues who care deeply, innovate with purpose, hold ourselves accountable and prioritize safety and quality in everything we do. Join us and be part of something bigger – helping to simplify health care one person, one family and one community at a time. The Group Leader role is the first step towards a supervisor position. This is a 2yr. role that provides both work assignments and training opportunities to prepare GL to be promoted into a supervisor role. A GL is an extension of the DC Management team, and as such, fulfills the company purpose of helping people on their path to better health by driving DC execution and performance. Under the supervision of the department Manager and Supervisors, the GL will maintain an engaged, productive team through strong leadership, demonstrating initiative and leading by example. The GL is responsible for supporting the department Manager and Supervisors in the total leadership and strategic operation of the DC. In addition to day-to-day management responsibilities, GLs are also responsible for completing operations and management skills training and learning about key aspects of the business and CVS Health culture, to prepare for a promotion to a supervisor position. This extensive on the job training is designed to provide a solid foundation to prepare a GL to be able to assume supervisory duties and operational control of a department immediately upon promotion into a Supervisor position. GLs must maintain satisfactory performance and must demonstrate consistent progression to remain in the role and be considered for Supervisor openings. Selection for the GL position does not guarantee promotion into a supervisor position. Whether and when a GL is promoted to Supervisor is dependent on a variety of factors, including but not limited to performance and availability of Supervisor openings.
