The Production Equipment Maintenance Technician supports the production facility on 2nd shift by maintaining all production machinery to operate and efficiently and accurately.
Job Responsibility:
Troubleshoots machine tools, assembly lines and test stands
Troubleshoot, modify and repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, pumps, conveyors, belts, fans, etc
Examines mechanical equipment to diagnose trouble and predict failure
Dissembles machines and repairs or replaces broken parts, pieces and equipment
Adjusts functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary
Cleans and lubricates parts
Initiates request for replacement parts
Examines and repairs controls as required
Diagnosis of electrical problems within machine circuitry
Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures
Uses handbooks, machine assembly drawings, blueprints, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, trade manuals, sketches, and/or verbal instructions, to maintain mechanical devices
Maintains maintenance records and updating of machine documentation
Maintains a clean and orderly work area
performs miscellaneous duties as assigned
Utilizes continuous improvement concepts in quality, efficiency and meeting production standards
Requirements:
7+ years of experience performing equipment maintenance in a manufacturing environment
3+ years of experience with machine drive trains, precision spindles, pneumatic, hydraulic and fluid systems
3+ years of experience in performing troubleshooting and analyzing causes of failures
3+ years of experience in the troubleshooting and repair of production equipment with appropriate controls
3+ years of experience with safety procedures and working with hand tools
2+ years of MS Office experience (Outlook, Excel, etc.)
High School Diploma or GED
Nice to have:
Machine shop and shop floor experience
Experience with PLCs and controls
Experience with lathes, grinders, stamping, milling, brake presses and other machine shop/production machinery
Plumbing, mechanical and electrical repair experience
Ability to read schematics
Must be willing to work flexible schedules to ensure production needs are met
Maintain "state-of-art" skills and knowledge
Able to use current business systems to perform computer tasks related to specific job function
Proactive, self-starter with curiosity to learn and problem solve
Must be able to work independently and within a team environment
