Job Responsibility
Perform preventative maintenance, cleaning, troubleshooting, and repairs on AutoStore robots, grid infrastructure, ports, and conveyors
Respond to operational alerts and maintain system uptime, resolving issues proactively
Replace components such as motors, sensors, wheels, and batteries
Support inventory cycle counts and coordinate robot traffic during operational activities
Escalate complex issues to AutoStore vendor support or integrator partners as needed
Perform routine and preventative maintenance on forklifts and powered industrial trucks
Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues
Repair, configure, and maintain printers, scanners, mobile workstations, and other warehouse hardware
Maintain service documentation and equipment health logs
Perform general maintenance tasks, including repair of racking, signage, safety barriers, and lighting
Submit SIPPs and coordinate construction or facility updates with site partners
Maintain safe, clean, and organized maintenance work areas
Maintain and execute preventative maintenance schedules for all equipment
Document all repairs, inspections, and service logs
Identify trends in equipment failures and recommend improvements to increase reliability
Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
Conduct equipment safety inspections and follow strict Lockout/Tagout procedures
Assist with audit activities and incident investigations
Requirements
High school diploma or GED
Proficiency with hand and power tools, mechanical repair, and basic electrical troubleshooting
Strong computer skills (email, Excel, Word, Teams)
Certification on Material Handling Equipment (or ability to obtain)
2–4 years of experience maintaining warehouse equipment or automated systems (AutoStore, ASRS, robotics, conveyors preferred)
Capable of lifting at least 35lbs without assistance utilizing proper ergonomic lifting methods
Nice to have
Mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting
Battery system maintenance (lead-acid or lithium)
Basic PLC or automation troubleshooting
Ability to use CMMS or maintenance logging systems
Strong problem-solving and root‑cause analysis abilities
Effective communication with cross-functional teams
Strong Time-management and organizational skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Forklift technician certification
OSHA training or electrical maintenance certification
