Job Description:

Production Engineer position in Category Area Textile Furnishings (Mattresses & Comfort Seating) team, responsible for leading engineering and quality agenda to improve customer satisfaction, working as main contact towards suppliers in South Asia to develop and secure quality and compliance in production process.

Job Responsibility:

Lead Supplier Development for quality and manufacturing
Lead implementation of new products at suppliers
Evaluate potential new supplier's production facilities and quality systems
Secure supplier & product quality/safety compliance
Collaborate with global teams within quality matrix to develop IKEA food safety and quality policies
Lead continuous improvements agenda from quality & production efficiency perspective
Handle quality deviations
Secure compliance to all IKEA requirements

Requirements:

Textile Engineering education
7-10 years of relevant working experience
Background in engineering, quality and product/production development
Solid knowledge of production processes and technologies
Solid experience in manufacturing industry
Experience in certification and testing globally would be preferred
Strong communicative skills in complicated environment with multiple stakeholders
Able to handle conflicts
Proven experience in supplier management & project management
Proactive approach
Professional Certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Total Quality Management (TQM) preferred

Nice to have:

Professional Certifications in Lean Manufacturing
Professional Certifications in Total Quality Management (TQM)
Experience in certification and testing globally
