Some production work on STEM book content may also be required. • Liaise professionally with authors and internal stakeholders to resolve manuscript queries and support a positive author experience
  • Maintain clear records of production stages and provide feedback to suppliers to support continuous improvement
  • Contribute to team goals, support colleagues during busy periods and uphold CSIRO’s values, Code of Conduct and commitment to health, safety, diversity and inclusion

Requirements

  • Relevant qualification (Certificate or Diploma) in a science, technical or related field, or demonstrated publishing industry experience
  • Proficient computer skills, including the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple pieces of work
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with authors, service providers and internal teams
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, using initiative and sound judgement to resolve routine issues and escalate when needed

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of, or experience in, journal or book production
  • Understanding of XML and scholarly publishing workflows
  • Experience using online text editing or manuscript production platforms

Requirements
  • 5–7 years of experience in social media, content strategy, or thought leadership, ideally at a high-growth startup, fintech, or consumer brand where you were setting the agenda, not following one
  • You are very online. Twitter and LinkedIn are tabs you never close. Your FYP and Reels tab are dialed. You understand the culture of each platform natively and know how to build an audience, not just broadcast to one
  • A news obsessive - you read widely, across tech, finance, policy, and culture, and you have sharp instincts for reactive content: when to jump in, what angle to take, and when to stay quiet
  • Deep fluency in AI and emerging technology
  • A strong, versatile writer who can shift between brand voice and executive voice without losing what makes either one compelling
  • Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple content calendars, stakeholders, and competing deadlines without losing the thread
