As Production Duty Manager, you will take responsibility for the end-to-end production process—from the receipt of raw materials through to processing and packing—ensuring all products are manufactured to the highest quality standards. Leading multi-skilled teams in a fast-paced, target-driven environment, you will be accountable for performance, safety, and quality throughout your shift. You will also take full responsibility for site operations during out-of-hours working, making informed decisions and ensuring smooth, efficient operations.
Job Responsibility
Lead, coach, and develop production teams to achieve performance targets
Ensure appropriate staffing levels, skills, and resources are in place
Drive a strong culture of Health & Safety and Food Safety compliance
Analyse production performance data and identify opportunities for improvement
Support and deliver training and development initiatives for team members
Ensure effective use of IWS daily management systems
Manage and communicate escalations clearly and promptly
Deliver structured and effective shift handovers
Requirements
Proven experience in a similar role within food or FMCG manufacturing
A strong track record of leading and developing teams (up to 20 people)
A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong analytical skills
The ability to make informed decisions both independently and collaboratively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Resilience and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
