Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to join our team as a Production Assistant. This role will involve supporting the Plant Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring production targets are met, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The position has the potential of career advancement opportunities.

Job Responsibility:

Assist in planning and organizing production schedules to meet customer demand
Monitor production processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
Coordinate with production teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of orders
Collaborate with quality control personnel to ensure that products meet company standards and customer specifications
Communicating any known maintenance needs to Maintenance Department
Implement corrective actions as needed to address quality issues and prevent recurrence
Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and monitoring stock levels of raw materials and finished products
Coordinate with purchasing and logistics departments to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials
Implement inventory control measures to minimize losses and optimize storage space
Work with company safety officer to ensure protocols are followed
Provide guidance and support to production staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork
Assist in recruiting, training, and evaluating employees to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce
Delegate tasks effectively and ensure that roles and responsibilities are clearly defined
Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and reduce costs
Solicit feedback from employees to identify areas for innovation and enhancement
Implement best practices and Lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations and maximize productivity

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field (not required)
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and engage teams
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting
Proficiency in MS Office applications and ERP systems
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Willingness to work flexible hours as needed to meet production deadlines
