Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to join our team as a Production Assistant. This role will involve supporting the Plant Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring production targets are met, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The position has the potential of career advancement opportunities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist in planning and organizing production schedules to meet customer demand
  • Monitor production processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
  • Coordinate with production teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of orders
  • Collaborate with quality control personnel to ensure that products meet company standards and customer specifications
  • Communicating any known maintenance needs to Maintenance Department
  • Implement corrective actions as needed to address quality issues and prevent recurrence
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and monitoring stock levels of raw materials and finished products
  • Coordinate with purchasing and logistics departments to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials
  • Implement inventory control measures to minimize losses and optimize storage space
  • Work with company safety officer to ensure protocols are followed
  • Provide guidance and support to production staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork
  • Assist in recruiting, training, and evaluating employees to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce
  • Delegate tasks effectively and ensure that roles and responsibilities are clearly defined
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and reduce costs
  • Solicit feedback from employees to identify areas for innovation and enhancement
  • Implement best practices and Lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations and maximize productivity

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field (not required)
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and engage teams
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and ERP systems
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed to meet production deadlines
