Job Description:

We are looking for a Production Artist to support manufacturing-related print and graphic production work in Saint Paul, Minnesota. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who combines strong technical execution with a sharp visual sense, ensuring artwork is accurately adapted for a variety of formats and surfaces. The role focuses on preparing production-ready files, refining existing designs for new applications, and collaborating on large-format visual materials such as wall graphics.

Job Responsibility:

  • Build and maintain template files for window graphics and other production applications to support accurate, repeatable output
  • Rework existing creative assets so they fit new dimensions, layouts, and physical formats while preserving brand consistency and visual quality
  • Prepare artwork for prepress by organizing files, checking specifications, and ensuring designs are ready for production
  • Support the development of wall graphic materials by adjusting layouts, scale, and composition for the intended installation environment
  • Modify and enhance artwork as needed, including image edits, file corrections, and design refinements for print execution
  • Partner with internal teams to translate design intent into practical production files that meet manufacturing and print requirements
  • Apply strong organizational practices to manage multiple assets, versions, and deadlines across ongoing projects

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Hands-on experience in print production, including preparing accurate files for prepress and final output
  • Background in adapting existing artwork for new shapes, sizes, and production formats
  • Demonstrated ability to work with art manipulation and layout adjustments while maintaining design integrity
  • Solid understanding of print design principles, specifications, and production standards
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to keep files, revisions, and deliverables well organized
  • A creative eye with the judgment to make visual adjustments that improve the final produced piece

  • Ensure that all artwork and copy meet all necessary regulatory requirements when needed
  • Check all artwork to ensure accuracy of copy, color, and content
  • When faced with obstacles, work independently and effectively attain clarification to push projects forward
  • Route all artwork internally and implement markup changes without error
  • Understand and select the manufacturing processes that best suit specific designs and objectives
  • Evaluate color and finishes in-house during material sampling and prototype reviews, and on location with our manufacturing partners
  • Understand how materials can affect color and deliver detailed feedback to suppliers to achieve desired results
  • Check printer-supplied proofs to ensure accuracy when compared to released artwork
