I am working with a leading creative events company looking to appoint a Production Accountant to oversee the financial management of multiple productions simultaneously. This is a hands-on role working closely with the production and events teams to ensure smooth financial operations, accurate reporting, and strong internal controls. The role is based in London on a hybrid basis. There is also the potential for the role to be offered on a part time (4 days pw) arrangement.
Job Responsibility:
Work alongside Producers to manage budgets and create financial models for both new and ongoing live projects
Facilitate monthly budget review sessions, highlighting variances, potential risks, and opportunities to the senior leadership team
Track financial performance across pre-production, live events, and wrap-up phases, producing detailed cost reports and actionable commentary
Set up financial frameworks for new projects, including budget adjustments, purchase order tracking, and training production staff on finance systems
Develop and maintain rolling cashflow projections across all active and upcoming productions
Handle invoicing, milestone billing, and inter-project recharge processes in accordance with project agreements
Record monthly journals, including production accruals, revenue recognition, and allocation of overheads
Requirements:
Proven experience in production accounting within live events, theatre, or experiential marketing environments
Strong expertise in budgeting, reforecasting, cost reporting, and variance analysis
Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-moving creative setting
Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills, capable of working closely with Producers, executives, and creative teams
